An Analysis of the Ethicality of Housing Developers in Banda Aceh from the Perspective of Islamic Economics and Islamic Fiqh
By: Cut Elfida
The significant growth of the property sector in Banda Aceh has been accompanied by serious problems, such as delayed handovers, substandard housing quality, and neglect of consumer rights. From an Islamic economic perspective, businesses should not be solely profit-oriented but must also uphold the values of justice, honesty, and responsibility.
Principles of Islamic business ethics, such as amanah (trustworthiness) and shidq (trustworthiness), are essential foundations for doing business. However, the practice of default by developers demonstrates a violation of these principles.
Our discussion this time will explore the practices of housing developers in Banda Aceh, the compliance of property contracts with the principles of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah), and conceptual solutions to improve developer ethics. We will also discuss the government's role in overseeing Sharia property, and how we can improve developer ethics in housing development.
We look forward to your attendance at the 40th edition of the NgoPI Dissertation Discussion to delve deeper into the Ethics of Housing Developers in Banda Aceh from the Perspective of Islamic Economics and Islamic Fiqh Muamalah. Together with the Modern Fiqh Doctoral Study Program, we are bringing discussions to life through the Dissertation NgoPI (SyR)
